Native tree to our home here in the high desert of New Mexico. This tree produces a thick fragrant sticky resin to heal damaged parts of the tree. We harvest excess resin (causing no additional harm to the tree) to produce a wonderful, traditional healing salve. Harvesting pine pitch is labor intensive. You can often find us enjoying tree climbing and day dreaming in the woods while harvesting.
Perfect for cut, scrapes, chapped lips, skins, burns, or anywhere else that needs extra healing or moisturizing.
Pinon pine pitch is know for its antiseptic and healing properties. Each salve comes in a reusable 2oz. tin.
Contains: hand foraged pinon pine pitch, wild sunflower infused organic olive oil, and beeswax.
Note when ordering in hot months: upon receiving salve- refrigerate for a time upon arrival. Salve will soon regain its firm but silky texture. This will help prevent spills and leakage. Keep out of direct sunlight and excessive heat.
